Agatha Christie my way

As mentioned in my comment, I've started my seven year, monthly journey reading Agatha Christie with Crooked House being first because it supposedly was one of her favorite books.  That info according to John Curran in his book Agatha Christie's Secret Notebooks which will be coming along with me on my reading journey.  Crooked House is a stand alone book with none of her favorite sleuths.  It was enjoyable but I was surprised that I figured out who done it, which is very unusual for me.  I've moved on to Mrs. McGinty's Dead which may be a slow read for I've seen the TV version quite a few times but before I tackle it I've read Murder by Latitude by Rufus King which is suppose to have inspired her book.  Reading Secret Notebooks is giving me insight into her creative process and I'm also discovery authors that were popular when she was writing.  I hope this post will inspire others to join me in my quest to find her muses and along the way read long forgotton mystery writers.
